Jamie Allaire Garland

Jamie Allaire Garland’s career began as a hair and makeup artist for photography, theater, and commercials, where her curiosity about skin health beneath the makeup sparked a lifelong passion. After earning her license from the Lancaster School of Cosmetology, she built a strong foundation in traditional esthetics before advancing into the medical aesthetics field. Trained in multiple modalities, Jamie specializes in microneedling and laser treatments, combining technical skill with a results-driven approach.

Early in her career, Jamie took on leadership roles managing spas and medspas, where she oversaw hiring and training, built vendor relationships with top skincare and equipment companies, managed scheduling and operations, and hosted educational seminars. Her ability to balance operational excellence with client experience led to the successful management of multi-million-dollar spas, medspas, and plastic surgery centers.

Jamie’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to open James Street MedSpa, an award-winning, highly regarded aesthetics and wellness destination. While operating the medspa and serving as a trainer for a national laser company, Jamie—along with her business partner, Ashlee Ludwig—recognized a significant gap in accessible, compliant, and advanced education for licensed professionals in medical aesthetics.

In response, they co-founded the Institute of Medical Aesthetics (IOMA), a state-licensed postsecondary institution designed to bridge the gap between traditional esthetics and medical aesthetics. As CEO, Jamie oversees educational programming, state compliance, faculty leadership, and strategic partnerships—ensuring IOMA’s programs deliver the highest level of clinical skill, regulatory adherence, and career readiness.
